What You'll Learn:

• Textile Crafting: Dive into the art of working with various fabrics as Darrinee and Bobbi guide you through the process of creating unique and menacing mushroom brooches.
• Essential Tools: Utilize a range of tools including glue guns, scissors, needles and thread, fabric pens, and more to bring your Menacing Mushy Brooches to life.
• Design Techniques: Learn how to use pattern templates and card for reinforcing to enhance the structure and design of your brooches.
• Personalization: Add your personal touch with buttons, embellishments, and various creative elements to make your brooch truly one-of-a-kind. You are welcome to bring along your own embellishments.
• All about fungi! Bobbi will teach you all about the different parts of the mushroom as you create and why fungi are so important to our ecosystem.

About the Instructors: 

Darrinee Horton is a trained special effects makeup artist and a community support worker for people with special needs. She is very creative, loves most things strange or weird, and enjoys helping people of all ages find their creative flair! 

Bobbi Summers has a Bachelor of Creative Industries Degree and loves working with young people and helping them to see how vital it is to think creatively. She's a massive fan of fungi and science art and loves to teach people how creative the sciences can be. 

Collectively, they bring a wealth of creative expertise to the workshop. With their guidance, you'll not only create menacing mushroom brooches but also gain insights into the fascinating world of fungi and textile crafting.

All children under 13 years of age must be accompanied by an adult - we are all about learning together! You can book one spot and collaborate on a brooch or book 2 spots and help each other out with your own individual creations.
